The Mediterranean Sea Salt is 100% pure & hand Harvested twice a year, from the foam mountains of the Mediterranean and Ionian Sea. When they collect the salt water in the salt grates it creates foam that rises above the salt flats or slabs, and creates huge foam mountains. Twice through the summer season we hand move the foam salt crystals and lay them in nets to dry from 2 days and more depending upon humidity. The salt is then crumbled by hand and packaged for your culinary dishes!
The difference between normal salt and foam salt is that crystals get hard and glass like, and the foam dries to flakes, it’s also collected and packaged without milling or preservatives. This foam salt also never touches the ground so it is as pristine as the deep blue Mediterranean Sea and Ionian Sea. This salt has no shells or dirt particles as they all drop to the water.
