Natural Factors SAMe 200 mg provides S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) in enteric-coated tablets to help protect this sensitive ingredient from stomach acid and promote optimal absorption. SAMe is a naturally occurring compound found throughout the body that plays an important role in numerous biochemical processes. It is used to help promote healthy mood balance and to help reduce the pain associated with osteoarthritis. The enteric coating allows the tablet to pass through the stomach before releasing its contents in the intestines for improved stability and absorption.

Each enteric-coated tablet delivers 200 mg of SAMe, supplied from 400 mg of S-adenosyl-L-methionine disulfate tosylate. When taken as directed, SAMe helps support healthy mood balance and helps relieve osteoarthritic pain. For optimal effectiveness, SAMe should be taken on an empty stomach and used consistently for at least two weeks before benefits are expected.

Directions for Use

SAMe should always be taken on an empty stomach.

SAMe must be taken for a minimum of 2 weeks, at which time effects should be observed.

For mood balance: 1–4 tablets 2 times daily (up to 8 tablets daily) or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 6 weeks.

For osteoarthritic pain: 2 tablets 3 times daily, not to exceed 6 tablets daily, or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.

Microcrystalline cellulose, enteric coating (talc, shellac, glycerin, vegetable-grade magnesium stearate [lubricant], silica, sodium alginate), stearic acid, vegetable-grade magnesium stearate (lubricant), magnesium hydroxide, silica, calcium oxide.
