The Coriolus Versicolor from New Roots Herbal is a hot water–extracted medicinal mushroom formula standardized to contain 55% polysaccharides (500 mg per capsule). Hot-water extraction, a traditional Asian method, is crucial for obtaining a top-quality and efficient mushroom product. Within the entire mushroom, polysaccharides are bound by an indigestible cell wall made of chitin; hot water is necessary to gently release the medicinal components, the mushroom polysaccharides. Conversely, grinding the mushroom may damage the long-chain polysaccharides and leaves the indigestible chitin (fibre) intact, limiting the quantity of therapeutic constituents per capsule. Standardization ensures a consistent polysaccharide content, facilitating the delivery of a therapeutic dose.
Coriolus's two water-soluble polysaccharides, PSK and PSP, are acknowledged for their immune system–strengthening properties, contributing to the popularity of this mushroom species.

Directions of Use
Adults
Take 1 capsule three times daily with food or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Dosage can be increased up to 2 capsules two or three times daily.
